We love food, family, & fun

Although this post is titled "Food, Family & Fun" you won't find any pictures of food or people eating food because we were all so busy eating food (and LOTS of it) that no one took any pictures of it (thankfully...)

Karisse LOVED her cousin Thomas's swingset (maybe the girls will get one in the Spring.)
Callie was pooped after Thanksgiving lunch

Thomas is such a funny kid.

Karisse's "Bear" bottom

We always "do" Christmas present exchanging (for Daddy's side of the family) on Thanksgiving Day. We got Thomas a really cool tool belt and hat (there were clothes in the box too...but they're not as fun as the toys!)

Callie's 1st Thanksgiving. Sadly, she didn't directly partake of any of the ridiculously yummy food...

AND Karisse's Best Friend, Finley, and her family stayed at our house over the holiday too!!! We went to Grandma & Grandpa's house for lunch on Friday.
Then, we went to Kingsport Grocery on Saturday night with Ross. Karisse & Finley love each other like crazy...sometimes a little too crazy!

It was a crazy busy holiday but sooooooooo much fun. We miss the Robersons tons already....maybe we can plan a Memphis tour soon. Happy Thanksgiving...

Sooooo lots has been happening in our lives!! We've been really busy, and we've got a lot of it on camera which is the reason this is a mammoth post..

SEPTEMBER 2008

Karisse & Callie have LOTS & LOTS of hair!!!

Sleeping little angel...

OK...this girl LOVES to sleep!
Mommy's SMASH group made this "Welcome Back" poster and hung it on the wall. They are soooooo sweet!

Karisse is making dinner and setting the table! She sets the table in "real" life as part of her chores. It's funny when her "real" life crosses over into make-believe land.

She's OCD too! Check out the perfect positioning of dishes & food. She did this without the help of Mommy or Daddy!

"Cheese!"

OCTOBER 2008

We took a trip to the Piney Flats Pumpkin Patch (thanks Poplar Ridge Youth Ministries) and Karisse helped pick our the perfect pumpkins! She chose two little pumpkins...one for her and one for Callie and a BIG pumpkin to carve. Since Karisse doesn't "do" Pumpkin goo (and Callie doesn't care), we opted for the Mr. Potato Head style Jack-o-lantern.

Callie isn't too happy about her 1st Halloween.

On our trip to see Aunt Moe, Addyson, & Uncle Justin in New Orleans, we stopped for a picnic.

Karisse got her face painted for the 1st time at a street fair in Picayune, MS. Although she doesn't look thrilled in this pic, she thought it was pretty cool and didn't spaz out at all (which is quite an accomplishment!)

Awww...they love each other!! Look at the girls holding hands...
NOVEMBER 2008
Then, Aunt Moe & Addyson came to visit us in TN.

Uncle Russell (Daddy's brother) came to visit from Kansas City. He met Callie and got to play dress up with Karisse.

Callie has GREAT hair...

And great toothless grins!

Whew....here's the end of the longest post ever!!! We'll try to do better at doing regular updates!! The holidays are coming though...lots of pics, lots of family, lots of busy!

Two pretty girls...

Golly geez, Mommy loves this kid. She is such a goober!! Karisse loves to dress up, especially in Mommy & Daddy's clothes and shoes. Callie discovered her thumb yesterday. She is officially a thumb sucker (which brings mixed reviews from Mommy & Daddy) and sleeps like a champ with that bad boy in her mouth. She sucks on her right thumb. Wonder if that means she'll favor her left hand in writing and stuff??? (Karisse sucks her left thumb and favors her right hand.) Only time will tell...

More Addyson

I'm not sure why she's in a BLUE gown...the jury is still out on that one. Weird!

Addyson be here...FINALLY!!!

Karisse & Callie are the proud cousins (they don't know it yet) to the newest one in our family...

Addyson Renea Thomas

Here's a terribly blurry pic of Aunt Moe (Little Mama) & Addyson.

Uncle Justin (proud papa) & Addyson

She was born on September 16 at 11:39 p.m. weighing in at 7 lbs 13 oz and 21" tall.

This is all we've got since they're in New Orleans and we're stuck here in TN.

Mommy had the divine pleasure of calling Mamaw & Papaw and Granny at 1:00 a.m. just after she got off the phone with Nana (who is proud as punch.) The groggy great-grandparents are excited and relieved that Little Mama and Addyson are doing well!!

More pictures of the sweet cuteness to follow...

Addyson be here...almost

Callie & Karisse are "getting" a baby Cousin tonight or early tommorow morning!! Mommy's sister, Melissa (also known as Aunt Moe), is in labor in New Orleans right now surviving on ice chips and banana popsicles. (Uncle Justin is starving...poor things...)

Addyson Renee Thomas will be here by 8:30 Wednesday morning (that's the magical hour of her water breaking on Tuesday & they only like the baby to be in there for 24 hrs after that.)

BABIES ARE EVERYWHERE!!!

First Haircut!

This post is a little late, but better late than never I guess.

On September 2nd Karisse got her first haircut. She was sooo excited for two weeks before. She goes with Daddy to get his haircut and so she knows Leatha and loves to help her cut Daddy's hair.

She kept saying, "Leatha wash my hair", but when it came time to wash her hair she freaked out!! So, Leatha cut her hair dry. She cried a little about the cutting, but did quite well for a first time. About halfway through she started saying, "all done now?" It was just a trim so you can't really tell much difference, but all in all it was a success.

All done now!

After her haircut Daddy got his haircut and she had to help, as usual.
